On April 19-20th, the Connecticut Assisted Living Association hosted their annual Executive Director Certification Course at Water’s Edge Resort & Spa in Westbrook, CT. The certification course offered attendees the chance to get ahead of the curve, implement best practices, network with peers, and set the standard in their respective communities.
The course covered important topics in senior living ranging from resident care management, human resources, organizational management, financial management, and overall physical environment management, to ensure residents have the best experience possible.
Mary Ellen Ierardi, Executive Director at Ocean Meadows Senior Living, shared her gratitude for the course and CALA. “I want to thank CALA for an amazing gathering. It was calming to hear that through this craziness, no matter how big or small the community, we have all endured and survived the storm thus far”, said Ierardi.
“This course helped emphasize what we can do to improve, and meeting other Executive Directors allows us to keep our job strengths and weaknesses in perspective.”
