Member Spotlight: Bridges by EPOCH at Norwalk

At the Bridges® by EPOCH at Norwalk, the entire team gets to know each resident on a personal level – learning their life stories, passions, likes, dislikes and cherished memories. They provide a full, enriching experience through meaningful engagement that is designed to spark joy. The Bridges® approach is designed exclusively to enhance dignity and fulfillment in daily life for those living with Alzheimer’s disease or other forms of dementia. The above details are just a few reasons why the Connecticut Assisted Living Association considers them a valued member!

How long has your community been a member of CALA? The Bridges® by EPOCH at Norwalk have been a proud CALA member since we opened in 2017.

Why did your community join? The Bridges® by EPOCH at Norwalk joined CALA because we were a new community and wanted to bring awareness to our name and reputation, we accomplished this by becoming affiliated with CALA.

Favorite part about being a member? The community feel and education resources. Regulation changes can be tough, yet it’s always nice knowing there is a community of people readily available to talk it through with our team and provide informative answers to any questions we may have!

What impact does your CALA membership have on your community’s reputation? Being part of a state-wide association helps us bring awareness to our name throughout the whole state, not just in the county we’re located. We are an Assisted Living Memory Care community and want people to know the Bridges name and remember the memory care expertise we bring to the table for our residents, families, and local community.

Do you attend CALA events? If so, which events and why? Yes! We attend the annual Tradeshow event with our sister communities, Bridges by EPOCH at Trumbull and Waterstone on High Ridge. It’s a great networking opportunity to meet with similar communities from all around the state.

What benefits of your CALA membership do you find most valuable? The community and education.

What would you say to other communities who are considering joining CALA to entice them to join? It is a great opportunity to receive information for both older and newer Assisted Living communities, I would recommend everyone to join!

If your community is interested in joining CALA, please visit our website here.
