Connecticut requires either an RN with a baccalaureate degree in nursing and a minimum of (2) years full time equivalent clinical experience in nursing, at least (1) of which shall be in a home health care agency or community health program that included care of the sick at home; or a diploma or associate’s degree in nursing and at least (4) years full time or full time equivalent clinical experience in nursing within the past (10) years, at least (1) year of which shall be in a home health care agency or community health program that included care of the sick at home.
d. Experience: Shall, at a minimum be at least 25 years of age and must have at least (2) years of demonstrated experience with caring for seniors and supervisory management

SUMMARY:
The Resident Care Director is responsible for the coordinating of resident care in order to ensure that the resident remains as independent as possible in the community. He/she assists the resident and his or her family members in maintaining the physical, psychosocial and emotional well-being of the resident. He/she acts as a liaison with appropriate healthcare personnel and community support systems to provide care to the resident and family.
He/she will hire, evaluate, coordinate, monitor performance, schedule and supervise staff in accordance with LCB Senior Living policy. The Resident Care Director is also responsible for representing the residence to the community and creating and maintaining a culture that supports quality service and high customer satisfaction for the residents and a culture that promotes positive and fully engaged associates.
